It is not the intent that Rotarians administering the Y.E. program spend their own money for administering the program. Expenses of telephone, office supplies, copies, travel to the biannual SCRYE meeting are examples of bona fide expenses.

District and club budget to support costs associated with sponsoring outbound and inbound Exchangees including administrative expenses. Costs listed below are examples only and will vary depending on district decisions, number of Exchangees, distance traveled, money exchange rate, etc.

FLAT RATE

Some districts charge a flat fee of about $3,000 to cover all essential expenses for an outbound to go to any country. Excludes allowance from parents, gifts, tourist travel, but includes air fare, blazer, insurance, swap pins, and some other essentials.
